What Is the Best Way to Learn FOREX Trading?

FOREX trading accounts for currency movements in excess of $1 trillion globally per day.  The market is full of institutional traders who can make or lose a million or more Dollars per trade.  As a small investor, however, it is very unlikely that you are going to have these privileges available to you.  So, how can you learn FOREX trading without losing the shirt off your back?

Simply put, the best way to start out your FOREX trading career is to spend some time utilising a FOREX software program that allows you to make dummy trades.  A dummy trade will have all of the same features as a real trade, however no money will change hands.  As such, if you make a profit on the trade, you’ll not receive any money; and, likewise, if you make a loss on the trade you’ll not need to payout any money on the trade.

Aside from the ability to trade FOREX without the risk of losing any money, one of the greatest aspects of dummy trading FOREX is that it allows you the chance to analyses FOREX signals and software indicators without any risk.  Thus, unlike previously, you can now read a FOREX chart and make a decision whether or not to buy or sell a currency without needing to risk any real money in the trade.

Over a period of time using a dummy FOREX trading account you will be able to determine how the markets change and what the underlying influences are.  Once you have reached this level of expertise you may then want to open a mini FOREX account, with a minimum balance of $250.  Using a mini FOREX account will then allow you to put in place some of the things that you have learnt with your dummy account; but, again, without having to risk losing too much money.

Once you believe that you have mastered both the dummy account and the mini account and are ready to start trading FOREX on a more professional level, then you will be ready to open a standard FOREX account and utilise everything you have learnt to-date to maximise your chances of making a profit from your FOREX trading.  Keep in mind that while you may very well be tempted to jump straight to the standard account stage, especially where you may have made a significant profit in a dummy trade, experience shows that the more successful FOREX traders are those who learn how to walk before they can run.  FOREX trading can be profitable, but only if you learn how the system works before you rush in and make a trade.
